Continuing with the one year celebration of Low FODMAP Life, this week I am highlighting the best staple recipes on the blog. With my steadily growing collection, here are just a couple of the low FODMAP vegetarian & vegan/plant-based, basic staple recipes I’ve posted so far. Spelt sourdough bread and starter, and smoky lemon hummus.
The starter from my low FODMAP spelt sourdough recipe can be made from scratch and ready to use within a week. The recipe is simple and delicious and takes less labour than wheat sourdough. I offer a few simple tips for building up some intuition on timings and temperature when preparing the starter and dough.
My low FODMAP smoky lemon hummus is so bold in flavour and easy to make. I love this staple as a snack, to serve at parties, or an addition to a meal.
