About

I am a vegetarian who lives with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and follows a low FODMAP diet.

Low FODMAP Life is a compilation my favourite vegetarian and plant-based recipes that are balanced, nutritious, and can be tolerated by people with IBS (see Recipes). I also include lifestyle tips that have helped me live a happier, healthier, and more adventurous life while managing symptoms of IBS and being mindful of the environment (see Lifestyle).

Many of the recipes are my originals, and others are inspired by, or adapted from, great food bloggers and chefs. I have provided links to all my sources of inspiration.

My qualifications are limited, I love to cook but this is my first blog and first time photographing food. I also have no medical/nutrition training. But I have come to terms with living with IBS and figured out managing my symptoms in a healthy way as a vegetarian (see My Story).

I wanted to share my experiences online in the hope that they help anyone going on a similar journey. This blog is for anyone that wants a few new low FODMAP recipe ideas. It will also provide useful tips for anyone on the low FODMAP diet, and especially those wanting to eat more plants.

If you have enjoyed any Low FODMAP Life recipes, please rate them. I would love to hear any suggestions, corrections, or feedback you have (see Contact or leave comments).

Happy cooking!

Love, Laura

(P.S. I am from the UK and living in the US so I may switch between British and American spelling, terminology, or available brands.)
